View the Home Sales in Manhattan Beach During January

Let’s take a look how the year started for real estate in the luxury coastal community of Manhattan Beach CA. View the homes, townhomesmanhattanhomes and income properties that sold during the first month of 2021.  It was a solid, although slower, month especially given that December is often a down month for homes going into escrow.  There were 18 property sales in Manhattan Beach during January.  The median “list” price was $3,347,500 with the median “sold” price at $3,382,500 indicating a very solid “seller’s” market. The most expensive sale of the month, by far, was the beachfront corner lot at 1920 The Strand that sold for $16,250,000.  It’s certainly not a surpise when a beachfront home sells in Manhattan Beach and it’s  the highest sale.

Manhattan Beach Property Sales and Home Prices During August

The good times just kept coming (well maybe not if you’re a buyer) in Manhattan Beach.  Despite the pandemic and uncertainty in the world the real estate market in Manhattan Beach was definitely hot.   The month saw 48 on market home sales which was the highest number of sales during the month for the past few years. The other numbers were also impressive with the median “asking or list” price at $2,957,500 and the median “sold” price at $2,865,000 indicating a softening market in terms of pricing but still a strong seller’s market.

The highest priced property sale of the month was a beachfront fixer/tear down duplex at 516 The Strand which sold at $14,500,000 very quickly which is extremely rare for beachfront homes in Manhattan Beach.

The housing market in Manhattan Beach really picked up the pace in June with 30 home sales which is the highest number of sales in a month this year. The median list price was $2,390,000 with a median sales price of $2,090.80. The average price per foot was $1039.31 and average days on market was 59. The highest priced home sale of the month was a beachfront fixer at 3004 The Strand which sold for $7,000,000 after being listed at $9,495,000.
